yeah. it has been quite awhile since my last update which was like raya? that long huh? well, i think im tooooo busy to update anything. other than that, it was just pure laziness. since my stint at SAF Medical Corps started, tons of disatisfaction had occured. im supposed to POC last 2 wks but no! they delayed till 13Nov. something bout me in need to become a Medic Level 2. A level held by the sgts in SMTI. Why would a dental assist. require a lvl2 medic? i dont get it.

pure unlogical. indecisive piece of crap.

but nevertheless; i would try to work hard cos the end of product would be 8-5 of the rest of my NS life.

heading to guard duty soooooon. my 2/3 extra’s that i got would end on monday morning.

I have officially ended my BMT at the island of Pulau Tekong but leaving behind memories for the rest of my life. Throughout this 4month journey, I now believed in what my ex-Platoon Sgt mentioned about BMT. He once said that your BMT is the best and most memorable experience you can achieve in your NS or even your life. Now, I understood it. Every push up or punishment; every IPPT; every Route March. Its your commanders and Coy Mates that pushes you and giving you the motivation and fighting spirit to carry on. Stuff like 24km route march and Field Camp is not there without the brotherhood you have established over the 4month period. Throughout my time here, I finally understand the true meaning of brotherhood. Section mates and commanders pushed me to boundaries that I would never imagining reaching. Few hours time, I would know which unit I am gonna serve for my remaning 1year8months with. but if someone were to offer me to continue with BMT with the same batch, i would stand proudly and say YES.

hey there..been some time since I have updated. i have been in tekong for 2 months baby! time pass so fast when your in that undesired island. lost few kilo’s so far and can feel my stamina buliding up. i guess BMT is not that bad after all. its the unit i get that i am worried about. sispec? ocs? rifleman? hope i can to be a General Medic. Not those units that expect me to go outfield. outfield is like total hell. good HELL experience. lucky me i did not have to Re-Field Camp. anyway, i would like to share my defining moment essay in BMT. Hope can win something.lols.

Defining Moment in my Basic Military Training (BMT)? If I were to spend a minute pondering regarding what would be that moment, a web of memories would be tangled in my mind. There were tones of great moments and equally same goes for the terrible ones. So, what would be my defining moment? Was it the first time that I was enlisted and dragging my heavy duffer bag? Or was it when I have been given a chance to shoot live rounds with my SAR 21? As the list keeps going on and on, nothing is able to fill up the void as that defining moment in BMT. Looking for inspiration, I finally discovered it. Oh, it was the Field Camp.

Looking at all the forestation and environment surrounding the camp site, I was beyond my luxury point. The feeling of comfort was vanished and it felt as if the world was going to end. Protecting my rifle was never been so important. Colleagues and friends of mine who have been through Field Camp have told me tales about how their SAR 21 getting ‘stunned’ by their commanders and having to suffer confinement. It sends shivers down my spine. Learning from other people’s mistakes, I devised a plan to protect my SAR 21. Sleeping has never felt uncomfortable before as I was worried. A slight noise ignited me to wake me up and tugged the SAR 21 closer to me.

Shell Scraping was just simply exhausting. Despite the time allocated to us, many of the shell scrape was incomplete and severe punishment was set upon us. Leopard crawling on the damp soil and the constant running up and down the hill showed me that Shell Scrape was something our commanders don’t take failure lightly. Instructions were passed down for us to sit as a Platoon with our Platoon Commander, 2LT Samuel Lim. As my heart beat fast, my fear was just more punishment especially the cold look my Platoon Sergeant, 3SG Chun Teng was expressing was definitely not good news but I was wrong. Family importance was passed on through a speech and it made me bursting into tears. The reason why tears kept on flowing was inevitable. A letter from my family was given which were words of encouragement and motivation. It moved me deeply and made me treasure my loved ones much more deeply. Words of motivation by 3SG Chun Teng made me realize how important protecting our loved ones is. I have never realized how one letter could change a man’s life.

Once Field Camp is over, I felt blissful and glad that all of that was over. Reaching the Company had never felt so better. Having a comfortable bed to sleep on was just awesome. It felt like Heaven.

this may sound abit of a bullshit but it reali came from my heart. Field Camp taught me the basic principles that we took for granted. like Family and your Loved Ones. its these times that we reali need their fullest support. so, please to all of you.

hey there. been a long time since an update yeah. have been busy getting fucked at tekong. yes. im officially a 5 week soldier at army. and i have been posted to kestrel company. its been quite a ride for the past 5weeks. it gets tougher after the next 3weeks as i prepare myself for what i have feared. OUTFIELD. i have done my IFC (Individial Field Craft) and they keep mentioning that our commanders are going to be fucking us upside down. yet they say it would be fun. LOLs.

well. i think im lucky to be posted in Kestrel Platoon 2 Section 2. my section really bonded well. some personality conflicts but overall we clicked like as if we knew each other for quite some time. Platoon 2 rocks at the same time. haha. Route Marches with 8kg on the back. Waking up at 5am. Wearing Cammo to conceal. THATs my daily routine now. Booking out is so precious man!

anyway, todays my first NS PAY DAY. not much but better than nth rite?

wow. I just participated in my first ever 5km run this morning. it was totally awesome. i completed it in 45mins. some might think that is slow. but i felt it was an accomplishment and i was damn proud of myself. but it was tiring when you have to wake up in the morning on a beautiful sunday morning and cabbed to ECP. met up with ady and his wife. as the race was about to begin, guess who came up on the stage. it was not of a big deal but it was our..

Received a goody bag which contains a photo frame, 100plus, GO! Malt Milk. not bad lah.i also received a medal of participation. cool:) after the race, saw alvin who was also queue-ing up for 100plus. then met with zhengjie. took the shuttle bus to bedok. he met up with his parents while i headed home. it was a good experience and i might consider joining next year’s race.
